The Quran says ''let there be no compulsion in religion'' so it's clear what the islamic stance on this is. Why do many Muslims insist on making islam look barbaric by giving false information like ''those that leave islam must be stoned to death''. How would the Muslims feel if all the Christians or all the Jews killed anyone of them that converted to Islam ?
note: this is not a debate about whether or not you think killing apostates is a part islamic law or not (I've already made up my mind) the question is how you would feel if Christians/Jews killed converts to islam from their religions.

this is a serious question, there's no need to lash out at me for asking it. I'm just asking, how would the Muslims feel if the Christians did the same with those who convert to Isam ?

LMAO @ ''beheading is okay'', no wonder people think we're savages. BTW it's ''No Compulsion IN religion'' not ''into Religion'', and what about people who are born to Muslim parents???? they didn't have much choice did they?

theres a quote that i read and its by a non-muslim...
"Islam is the best religion and muslims are the worst followers"
..and it really is a shame what some so called "muslims" have done to our religion, making it look barbaric and beligerent. Its hard for me to believe people are really following that cause. Islam promotes universalizability, and that doesnt fit in.

you are absolutely right, and ppl lving in Islamic countries are free to practice their religion as long as they pay the jizya tax, which i heard is a very, very small amount.
Muslims are NOT allowed to kill non-Muslims unless it is a form of Self-Defense, or if their land is being occupied by non-Muslims...otheriwse, no exceptions.
Don't forget that the Prophet peace be upon him and his people lived peacefully with the Jews in Madinah under a truce, but the Jews were exiled out after they broke that truce.
the apostate thing is quite clear sister, so yes they have to be killed. yes i would feel very disturbed if that would happen to Muslim converts, but Allah knows best and knows that Islam is the only TRUE religion.
and i'll say again that ALLAH KNOWS BEST.

yes..it is clearly stated in the Quran that we cannot force some1 to convert to Islam. we must preach to them but if in the end they still refuse to convert, than we are NOT to force them. we conducted our responsibilty and that is that. however, once some1 is a muslim, they are muslims for life. they cannot simply leave Islam. it's just the way it is. that's why it is compulsary for some1 to be deeply involved and interested in islam b4 converting. some convert simply because they want to get married and if the marriage fails, they revert to their old religion. although i am not knowledgeble enough to answer your Q on how i feel, i think that islam does not oppose freedom of religion same as Christian and Judaism. and that the diffferences in religious laws in these religions should not be questioned as most of them are just beyond our thoughts and knowledge.

i do no longer think of Muslims have lost their acceptable to worship the place they want to. I only think of you have many individuals who're allowing this debate over the Mosque being close to the WTC website, to take midsection fold and be a controversy in the direction of the Muslim community. If the Mosque weren't being geared up, I heavily doubt Muslims worshiping the place they want to could be a controversy. Its basically because of the fact of discussion handy that different Mosques are in question. Its additionally because of the fact we've become on the brink of the anniversary of 9/11. Many families that have been affected are comfortable to the happenings that encompass this difficulty and rightfully so.

Well, its just part of the muslim faith. Just like jews dont care what any one else is, Hindu belives every one is hindu, in thier own way... Christian and Muslims are the main religions that look down upon people of diffrent belifes, and i'm sure that christians would, (and have in the past) killed other because they were not christian if they could get away with it.

Not necessarily stoned, beheading is also ok, as long as they are killed. People sent you enough proof, why you still disbelieve? Are you ready to spend your next life in Jahannam?
Can you speak Arabic? Do you understand what "laa ikraha feel-deen" means? Have you read the ayat till the end? You are disgusting when you try to pervert ayaat of Allah to serve your low passions.
Laa ikraha feel-deen means "there is no compulsion INTO religion". We don't force non-Muslims to embrace Islam but once you're in it there is no way out.
I don't know about Jews but Christians did and do kill their apostates. Ever heared of something called "heresy", "inqusition"? Now there is underground church organisation called Opus Dei which kills prominent Christians who abandon Christianity.

The creator of Islam was a sex crazed male fanatic. That's why they want to control everyone - especially women - and think that 72 virgins are waiting for them in Heaven. First of all they won't go to Heaven unless they serve Jesus and His ways - John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. and secondly they will not have women because the Bible says there is no marrying or giving in marriage in Heaven.
Matthew 22:30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
No matter what someone claims - Muslim, Christian, Jew or anything else - Jesus is the only way into Heaven. That's not just a Christian answer - it's God's answer. No sin will enter Heaven. God will not allow it.

Here is the verse you are referring to B,
[Quran 2:256] "There shall be no compulsion in religion...".
Those so called muslims what to impose their beliefs on us.
They don't respect other beliefs. They conviceted me of being non muslim, they called me fu'ck, bit'ch, and commiting adultry just because I said that I skip prayers and I don't believe in hijab and that abortion should be allowed.
[Quran 7:28] They commit a gross sin, then say, "We found our parents doing this, and GOD has commanded us to do it." Say, "GOD never advocates sin. Are you saying about GOD what you do not know?"
[Quran 49:13]"O people, we created you from the same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant. "
[Quran 5:87] ... and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors.
[Quran: 7:199] ......You shall resort to pardon, advocate tolerance, and disregard the ignorant.
[Quran 6:151] "...... You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."
[Quran17:33] "You shall not kill any person - for GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. ....."
[Quran 5:32] "......, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. .............."
[Quran 2:256] "There shall be no compulsion in religion...".
[Quran 60:8]"GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the equitable."
[Quran 8:61]"If they resort to peace, so shall you, and put your trust in GOD. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient."
[Quran 4:90]"...... Therefore, if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then GOD gives you no excuse to fight them."

it is the same with any other religion
none want the other to be free to practise their religion.
that the main problem of monotheism.
if their is only 1 god then their is only 1 way to worship him.
pluralism and monotheism do not walk the same path.
but it is not religion fault, it is people fault.
even when not concerned to religion they act this way, untolerant to every thing different...
it is the human nature, to hate what is different!

Well, there is to be no compulsion, but ALL must submit to Allah. That means those who retain their old religion must live as subjects to Muslims. That is the will of Allah and his Prophet (PBUI).
