Ball 5 is wrong : You can say "je t'aime" to your sister, to your mum etc. There, the meaning is clear: it is the closeness and fondness for someone you grew up with. 'Je t'adore' gives one the sense of "I worship you, you gorgeous person". In fact, Le Petit Larousse 1991 defines the word 'adorer', among other meanings, as "aimer passionnément" and "apprécier beaucoup". 'Aimer' is defined in similar terms, both affection and physical attraction, but the common understanding is one of fondness. Because 'adorer' has such different meanings, you want to avoid your friend misunderstanding the meaning you are trying to convey. If you are writing, you could end like this: Je t'aime ma soeur, et je t'embrasse avec l'amitié, Ta soeur, Eva or something similar.

Je l'aime = I like/love him/her/it. A funny thing about French is that when you qualify the verb 'aimer' with something like 'bien' or 'beaucoup' it reduces the intensity of meaning, so your phrase is best ranslated using 'like' rather than 'love.'

It means : I like him/her a lot: without any context, I can't tell you if you have to use 'her' or 'him' for the translation

It can't be translated by 'LOVE', which is far too strong.
Actually, 'j'aime beaucoup' or 'j'aime bien' means 'I LIKE', not I love.

"I love him very much" properly translated would be:

Je l'aime très beaucoup

yeah it makes sence! ur saying u love someone! the "l'"in front of "aime" is refering to someone! a girl or a boy! "je" is 'i'' and ""beacoup'' is ""alot""
