So for the past few months I've been trying to deal with this odd problem of mine, in which words, and thoughts seem to be not registering within my mind. Like I can read a sentence to something, and I get this very hard hitting like feeling of the words not linking right, not sounding right, etc. Same thing when I try to think about stuff I enjoy doing, and end up with that feeling of something not being/looking right in my way of picturing things in my mind. Now when this all begins happening I become very frustrated, and begin to re-think, re-say, and re-read over, and over again until I replace that bad feeling with a good feeling. I have always loved to think, to fantasize, as it helped me grow into a better person, and always feel good about myself. I cannot ignore what I enjoy, but with this feeling hitting me I simply can never be happy.

Any advice?

Peace, and good day.

ignore the feeling..... you are over reacting to something that may be as simple as lack of sleep, or excessive stress from work, family, or school. Plus, you are over thinking things. From experience, i can say that reading the same thing repeatedly with it not registering IS a sign of lack of sleep. Try not drinking or eating anything late at night, not watching TV, keeping your lights dim, and going to bed at a specific time every night whether you are sleepy or not. read if you're not sleepy. eventually your body clock will kick in. and one last thing -- cut yourself some slack.

The key words for real depression are all here. There is not a pivot point to make you break down. You are missing the power of love or love lost. But you are correct in knowing ideas and words are the stuff of mental illness.

Check with your DR. You also may have some very important matters in your life that keeps you stranding away from your subject matter.

your eye sight might need to be checked, a slight blur will do that... you may also be a bit bored, or lonely, if that is the case you should try to take up a new hobby or start dating if you haven't been
