There is no way to lose weight fast, and at 12 you shouldnt be dieting.
First off, your body is going to make a lot of changes over the next few years, so dont be too concerned. Just make sure you arent eating lots of fast, fried or junk foods... and stay away from soda pop.
Get out and do things... swimming, ice skating, Dance Dance Revolution, etc. Any activity for 30 minutes a day is good.
If you really cant bare it, talk to your doctor and ask to be refered to a Nutritionist.
Do NOT take diet pills, or start starving yourself... that will only make matters worse.
Be kind to yourself!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

My dear girl, get that thought out of your head right now!!! If your weight is too much for your frame, talk to your doctor about what is the right way to lose a few pounds. Why do you want to lose this weight fast, should you be talking to your Mother? If you can't or won't, please talk to a female relative or some other person that you trust and respect. You may need help before you develop an eating disorder, Take my advice seriously, your health and future could be in a danger zone.

Any weight loss that promises to be fast is not usually that effective or healthy. If you want to lose weight, the best thing to do is to alter your diet. Cut out things like sodas, chocolate, fattening chips, and white grains. Increase your water intake to about 6-8 glasses a day, eat more vegetables and fruits, and try substituting wheat bread for white bread with sandwiches or wheat noodles for white noodles in pastas. As far as meat, pay attention to how it's prepared, baked and grilled are the best (fried is a no-no), and how fatty the cut is. Yogurt is a great thing to eat, especially if you are exercising regularly as it helps burn calories. For everything else, just watch your portions, eating only till your satisfied, not till you're stuffed.

Make sure you do eat something from all the main food groups every day to be healthy. Also, every now and then (every week to two weeks), treat yourself to something small that you really like so that you don't feel like you're deprived of everything you love.

Talk to your parents about your diet and surely they'll be able to store up on these healthy alternatives.

By the end of next year I hope? Realistically you can only lose an average of a few pounds a week safely. Undergoing that drastic of a weight loss program requires medical supervision. See your GP and see if you're ready to start any kind of exercise program and get a referral to a nutritionist to start planning out a healthy, safe eating program. Losing weight is a lifestyle change that requires constant vigilance. It's not a quick fix or something you do and then forget about. Succeeding requires the help of both your existing support network and people who can lend you the kind of expertise you need to lose weight safely.

Losing weight "fast" is VERY unhealthy, as is gaining weight fast.

What you CAN do is gradually lose weight. It'll be much healthier.

Make sure you exercise often, and cut down on sugary/fatty foods and soft drinks.

Don't trust the scale. If you are eating healthy and exercising and you are gaining weight, it's OK. That means you are gaining muscle weight. Muscles weight more than fat.

At only 12 years old you have time to grow up in height. Keep eating the right foods and cut out the sweets. Keep your portions at a small amount. At the age of 12 you do burn up a lot of calories if you are on the go. stop sitting around the TV and the computer for hours at a time. Get up and exercise. The weight will come off slowly but it is the healthy way to go.

I am no expert, but eat healthy, eat enough but not more than enough, exercise, enjoy life.

12 years old is young. You are never to old to become the person you want to become, and that is advice for 40 year olds not even 12 year olds.

Last, don't sweat the small stuff. All of Junior high and most of high school are small stuff. So be patient with yourself and others.
