I am very negative and have many problems that have caused me to be like this. How do I look at things in a more positive way? Also, I am so angry all the time and the littlest things upset me. I was told by my mother, who is a nurse, that I may be bipolar. I kind of think I may be but am in denial. How do you think I can control these anger problems? Its not like I get a little mad or upset, I get furious and have terrible thoughts and stuff.

You are describing are classic symptoms of depression - the main sign of depression is often anger that occurs for no reason. Many people think that depression is feeling sad, but more often it's feeling angry and negative.

Depression is caused by an imbalance in the chemicals that control mood. Some people with depression can learn to overcome these imbalances through self-control, but its usually a lot easier to get rid of the anger than it is to control anger, and that's done with antidepressants, counseling, or both.

It would be a good idea to visit you doctor and tell him/her about this and ask if they can help or if they can send you to a psychachiatrist.

i had the same problem and i still do.
you should go for a check up with a psychologist.
maybe something happened in the past that is eating you up inside.
or maybe it could be a medical condition.
either way, if you just avoid it, it can get worse and cause serious damage.
like self affliction, drugs, suicide, or more anger

make an appoinment and get a check up.
it wouldn't hurt. and you'll feel relieved. trust me.

You can't be in denial until you are diagnosed.

P.S. Too bad your mom just took a guess. I would have helped you to get started on a recovery plan - whatever your state is, you need some attention.
