satan does the demanding not God. If you do anything sinful you have to do more and more and spend more and more money to satisfy your desires. God's love and gifts are free.

Why won't you receive them?

God doesn't do demanding, yet he created the commandments. Sounds contradicting.

Why the thumbs down?

Are telling people to obey the commandments a demand or not please answer the question?

Your question reminds me of the Parable of the Doughnut

http://www.clarion-call.org/extras/donuts.htm

God does not force us to do anything (it is the devil that tries to get is to disobey God and go against Him).

Because of the power that God has, He could make us do and/or think anything He wanted, but God wants us to love and serve Him with a willing heart, that's why we were given the right of free will, and why there is evil. That man, in his conscience, can make the decision to follow (or not) God.

You're right, our sins are demanding, and draining. Regardless of how fun they seem for a while, they will run you down mentally and physically (if they don't kill you), financially if the devil gets a chance. He'll ruin your life and then laugh all the while.

Why are people so afraid that someone is trying to tell them what to do. There will always be someone to tell someone else what to do, that's just how it is. We're being strangled by our freedoms. Our freedoms are taking away our liberties. Everyone is so free, everything has to be so politically correct, and can't offend someone (other than Christians), so we're not legally allowed to do anything anymore, to keep America free, what kind of sense does that make?!

Ye do err. Both Law and Grace demand perfection.
Lukewarm doesn't cut it with Law God in Revelation.
When asking Grace for wisdom it's nothing wavering.

It's notably the condition of the Abrahamic covenant:
Walk before me and be thou perfect: Genesis 17:1.

Perfect is also demanded in the New Testament:
Be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is: Mt 5:48.

The difference between the Law and His Grace is:
- Law demands perfection, but can't deliver it: Heb 10
- Grace makes you perfect, stablished, settled: 1Pet5

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Oh, sweetie.
You do not know me.

Get down off that high horse and get on your knees like your lord has instructed. You assume too much. Did "God" put that chip on your shoulder and place you in judgment of others? How dare you make such a blanket statement to non-Christians? I don't give a fig for your Satan. I don't live with these sins and I do not need your God to know right from wrong. I know you are just quoting your most recent Bible lesson, and lack any real life experience of your own, so I won't hold it against you. My advice to you, get out and meet real people, don't just believe what your youth minister tells you about them.

Yes I knew that. Those immersed in the physical senses will just keep playing the game a little longer but eventually even the darkest soul longs for freedom from individual-self.

Worldly happiness, wealth, power, and reputation are all but counterfeits to God's true rewards. Nothing beats the real thang, and that can only be received through the Holy Ghost! Thank you Jesus! May God keep blessing your ministry Sis!

Yes I know he is not demanding anything, he asks for one thing, that we'll accept Him into our hearts so we may spent eternal life with Him. He died on the cross for ALL of are sins. and it says in the bible that we are not under the law any more and that we have only one thing to Obey and that is to love Him and to believe in Him

I have struggled with this; it's because life has beaten us down and we feel unworthy of the goodness of God. We have to forgive ourselves and realize that those who judge us place themselves into God's position of judgment that only He has a right to. We must disregard the harshness and unforgiveness we have been dealt in life if we are to be able to accept the love and forgiveness of God.

People will chase after the strangest things, won't they? But when the greatest gift anyone could be given lies in their path, free for the taking, 90% of them swerve to go around it.

I used to be a Christian. Your premise is false. Once you become a Christian, you are slowly given a whole bunch of things you have to believe and do to remain a "good Christian." Belief has a cost. Acting on beliefs have a cost. Closing your mind to other options and ways of thinking has a cost. That so-called "gift" is anything but free.
