OK, first Mormons(LDS) do NOT practice having more than one wife....
While Mormons do believe in revelation, it's not "God appeared to me and said *blank*" that may occur, but usually it's just a feeling, or intuition, or some message given to them....but not specifically by heavenly beings.
Also, Joseph Smith's youngest wife was 14...my aunt got married when she was 14 and no she is not Mormon, nor a polygamist...does that mean her husband was a pedophile? No...
---------
Mormons believe Jesus is the son of God, the second person in the trinity.
Muslims believe Jesus was just a prophet.
Mormons believe in the Bible.
Muslims say the Bible, more specifically the new testament, is a lie.
Mormons don't have any rules against women(except only men can have priesthood).
Muslims have a bunch of rules for women, specifically.
There are lots of differences, if you want to ask a specific question, like their stance on a particular issue, you can go to my profile(but clicking my picture) and email me and ask.
I will get you an answer.

Both groups:
1 - Don't drink Alcohol for religious reasons.
2 - Don't engage in sexual relationship for religious reasons.
Differences:
1 - Mormons are considered, by some, Christians. Muslims follow Islam, so same difference between Islam and Christianity.
2 - Mormons believe in communicating with God, like revelations. I heard people saying "God came to me last night and told me .......". Muslims believe in no more revelations.

Mormons are Christians.
Compare Christians to Muslims and you'll get a pretty clear picture.

So much for encouraging tolerance Platik Punk. Just remember this post of yours next time you see some over-generalized, stereotypical question about Mormons.

A good, non-profit Mormon can marry more wives than a good, non-profit Muslim?
One was founded in the Middle East; the other was founded in the USA?

Amuslim is someone who rejects and denies the divine nature of Jesus, Son of the one true God. In so doing, I believe that they ALSO reject and deny God Himself. Hence, "allah".
While the mormons (LDS) have some pretty unusual concepts of God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, they identify themselves as Christian.
