Well morally he would totally be in the right to keep tabs on his woman, however, I doubt the US Government would let people into the system they use to track, record, and monitor ALL of our cell phones.

Take your cell phone and drive from California into Arizona over the Colorado river. After 100 feet of crossing that border, your phone will change time zones. Stop and think about what that means.

Anyone can. Most providers now allow that to be done by the account holder. For example, Sprint has a system that will allow you not only to know where they are, but will act like a GPS and tell you how to get there. It costs like $10/month to just be able to know where they are.

By the way, if you are asking this question, you probably need to really think about what you are doing and where you are going anyway.

You people really need to catch up with technology. ANYONE can track a cell phone that they own, as long as the service provider has that service available.

If you are wondering if the police officer can use his position of authority, then no.

To "track" someone by their cellular phone is done through the E911 system, which pretty much you'll need a court order to obtain access from the mobile carriers.

I don't think my boyfriend has ever done that. All he has to do is call me and ask me where I am. Like I would be stupid enough to lie to a cop....
