it happens all the time, but scientifically childbirth is an amazing thing. We cant explain how we get from these chromosomes and eggs( we know the process) to form into other humans, like where the bones came from and the veins and the heart.
It was one of the main reasons why this one big Athesist- Flu( name) started beliving in God. But maybe it can be explained later in the future, but right now, its a pretty cool thing, scientificaly....Child Birth is trully a Miracle

Jay. Jay.
Jay.
Are you speaking of human birth? Birth of mamals? Fish? Foul?
I admit that birth takes place all the time.
I admit that the foundation for human birth is pretty simple.
Calling it a miracle? Hardly.

Actually, we know a hell of a lot about how bones and veins and the heart come from during embryogenesis. Our gains in knowledge don't make it any less amazing - to me it makes it MORE amazing. All the details are facinating - a lot more interesting that saying "IT'S MAGIC".
No matter how much we learn about it, it's pretty damn amazing. If you want to call that a miracle, then that's fine with me.

We humans are animals. Specifically mammals. Like every animal and mammal on the face of the earth and under the sea, we reproduce. Nothing mysterious about it.
Ever taken a tomato seed and planted it in a garden and watched it grow? Same concept. Nothing miraculous.
It is simply reproduction of the species.

Yes, but read up on it and you'll understand it better. How the parts of some chromosomes decay quicker, leading them to form bone cells instead of skin cells or organ cells. How this process has become more and more complicated over the course of a billion years of evolution, starting from single celled life... I don't have kids by the way. From the experiences of my friends who do, it gets rather less miraculous after you've been changing nappies for a bit.

I agree .. child birth is pretty amazing .. and beautiful ..
but its just that .. doesn't make me believe in god any more..
i mean.. we have to come from somewhere right ? .. now if we just all of a sudden appeared out of no where.. or fell from the sky .. then I think i'd start considering a god ..

we DO know how child birth works...it's called science. and it's not really a miracle...the woman goes through hell and back! throwing up is a way that the body tells you that there is something in it that shouldn't be (for example too much alcohol?) how different is that frommorning sickness? and have you watched the birth of a child? It's gross!
the IDEA of it all it grand, yes....but really....come back to earth
choose a different topic to fight this battle

If we know the process, then we can explain the development of human life within the womb. I'll agree that it's amazing, a lot of things are.

Are we talking about childbirth or fetal development?
Childbirth is aweful.
But yes I have to say fetal development is pretty awesome.
Yet in all its wonder I can not help but wonder why starfishies get to regenerate arms but humans can not...not even in the womb.

Embryonic development is amazing. The birthing process could have been a bit better designed (from an engineering viewpoint).
Still, an amazing natural process does not prove the existence of a god.

You use the word "miracle" very loosely. Childbirth is a part of nature. A miracle would be something that inexplicably contravenes the laws of nature.
I think childbirth would be more miraculous if it weren't so painful for women, if the head of the human baby hadn't evolved to be too large for the birth canal. Why didn't God think of this? Lots of design errors in the human body if you study it.

If childbirth were truly "designed" by a omnipotent, all-loving, God it would be a lot different. First, there would be no pain to the woman. Secondly, there would be no complications and all newborns would arrive healthy.
