Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are looking to take/pass the Life & Health licensing exam, you will get a book from where ever you take your qualifying hours of study (most states require 15-30 hours of course work before you can take the exam).

If you are looking for general books about life insurance (just cause!) you can check with your local library. Ask the librarian in the reference materials section for help. There should at the very least be some of the guide books used for taking the exams available. Make sure the book is pretty current (under 3 years old) or you could be learning something out of date. The basics will be the same, but state/federal laws could have changed a little.
