Just got a new tv but does not play all comcast channels we had before?
Its a Dynex® 37" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV. We only get channel 4 to 135 or something. efore we had about all channels except hbo showtime ans starz etc

Make sure you do a "channel scan" and specify the source is Cable not antenna.

To receive the channels from your cable box, the TV needs to be tuned to whatever your box displays channels on. If this is a standard box with a coax connection to the TV, then this is either 3 or 4. Hopefully, you have at least a digital box using component (red, white and yellow) if not an HD box (5 cable connection), which means the TV needs to be tuned to one of the many inputs you now have available. Once you find the correct source, leave the TV there as long as you want to watch TV, then change your channels using the remote for the cable box.
