I don't believe I celebrate the pagan customs of Christmas. I thought it was just a friendly reminder to give?

So I guess the answer is that I already have.

I don't really celebrate Christmas anymore but if God wanted me to give it up then I certainly would. However, I don't think that God cares any more about Christians celebrating the birth of Jesus with traditions that came from pagans than He does about Christians eating meat that has been sacrificed to pagan idols.

1 Corinthians 8:4 Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that "an idol has no real existence," and that "there is no God but one." 5 For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth--as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"-- 6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

God looks at people's hearts and since He created and owns everything his children don't have to worry about what pagans do with days or traditions.

I don't think God cares at all about Christmas pagan customs. They are no threat to Him! In fact, pagans connect to the Divine in their own ways.

I've done one better. I decided to start celebrating Christmas to honor God and reclaim the day for Him despite the actions of long dead pagans.

Yep, I did and I am not a JW.
Why practice something that is of pagan origin and has nothing to do with Christ.

I do not know the exact day Jesus was born, therefore, Christmas is just as good as any other day to me- for remembering His birth. God knows my heart and the reason I observe Christmas.

Don't measure morality by what you DON'T do. (Okay, that's from Chocolat, but let's face it. It's a good point. Plus everyones loves chocolate and Johnny Depp.)

Which god? My gods invented christmas, and tell me to celebrate it. Just not to involve that Jesus fellow. Happy Beiwe to you all, and don't forget your sacrifice! Beiwe flies in on the bones of reindeer, to return the sun to us all!
