My mother-in-law gave my husband a birthday card with a half naked chick on the front with suggestive wording and sexual content - I find this bizarre when its a card from his mother and 2 nieces who are 11 and 13 - it wouldn't bother me if it was from a guy friend. I was so shocked when he opened it and she kept saying to me "did you read it? ha ha ha" - I am so annoyed or am I overreacting?

That's really odd - maybe she's just got a weird sense of humor, but having the 11 & 13 yo's sign it too would bother me also. What'd your husband say about it? If it were me I'd probably just toss it out and not think about it again.

Chill out ~ OMG !!!! Bottom line ~ its a card and from his mother (who has known him his entire life) If it offended him then He should say so! For you to say so just makes you look like "THAT" girl....
Seriously; how suggestive and sexual could a birthday card be anyways???

I think it is bad taste on her part, but I would let it go. Believe me, you could have much worse issues with a mother-in-law than inappropriate brithday cards. Consider yourself lucky and forget about it.

You definitely have a right to be upset and express your feelings to your husband.
Just ask him if you received a doll boy card from you mom with similar wording how he would react.
End the discussion there and if there's a repeat performance he should just toss the card.

It's his mom. If she hasn't screwed him up yet, he is probably safe by now. Some people just have terribly bad taste.

For her being an adult, involving little girls is IMO VERY inappropriate!! You have a right to be upset!!
