Im my English class this girl is always looking at me and occasionally gives me hugs, I like her, but i dont know if she likes me.

how many other people does she hug? how many other people du u hug? even if she hugs other people beside u, does she ever see u hug anybody? im seriously not trying to confuse u. anyways, she probably hugs u because she likes u! why else would she? she's daring enough to hug u when nobody else does. and if she hugs other people, its probably because she doesn't know if u like her back and its a cover incase u don't like her back, so she won't feel stupid.oh and if she lokks at u a lot, well, im convinced that she likes u! u should definately take a chance and ask her to go have ice cream sometime...or hot chocolate since its that time of year. good luck!!!!!!! ...u can du it! lol!

She could just like to give hugs. Does she hug a lot of people? If not and you are the only one she hugs, then I would say she likes you. Other than that, ask her.

I agree with Emma. It's never as easy as 'just do(ing) it' like most of the people are suggesting. When she looks at you, smile or smirk and observe how she responds. Observe how often she gives you a hug in comparison to other people. Definitely try talking to her, even if it starts with small talk.

Talk to her! You don't have to ask her directly if she likes you, but strike up a conversation and see if you have stuff in common. If you do, trade CDs with her, invite her somewhere, hang out with her outside of school.
In the end, straight up telling her you think she's nice is always an option.

Ask her out after school for a coffee or soda. Then ask if she wants to go out. Guaranteed, she at least likes you as a friend. Girls don't hug people they don't like or don't feel safe with.

Casually talk to her. Find out what she likes. Tell her what you like. By the way she talks to you, smiles in her eyes, touching, body facing you, you'll know if she likes you. Let's say she likes watching movies. If you happen to know a movie might like, tell her. Hey, this movie is showing on so and so. I 'll be watching this..... Wanna watch it with me?

She might just be a tease.
Ask her out, she isnt going to do anything about it because shes a girl.
