I'm 17 and my boyfriend is almost 20. He's not a bad guy or a pervert or anything, but he seems a little more serious than usual when he talks about me and him doing "things". I told him I want to hold out until I'm 18 to do anything beyond making out and he said he would be willing to wait and he respects my decision.
We've only been dating for a month, but we're both very serious about each other. It's not really a big deal for me to wait, I'd just like to look back in a few years and say that I made the decision to wait until I was legal.
I need a little help on whether I should do it or wait a little longer.

WAIT! IF he'll wait for u, then do so. If u wait, u'll see if he's really into u or what u can provide. Plus, if something happens, u don't need ur parents to be responsible. SEx is an adult act, so u need to be an adult to do this. I'm glad ur guy is respecting ur decision. But it will also show u that u have control and u can say no to urself when u want to.

Make him wait. . .he'll respect you a lot more and if he does wait for you then you know he really cares and is serious about you. . . one month is not enough time to know if he's serious and definitely too early to give it up.

If there's any doubt then definitely wait. If he loves you he'll respect that decision. I had gf's that made me wait up to 6 months.

Do it when you're ready and not because you feel pressured. But waiting til your legal is prob the smartest thing since he's 20.

At least wait until you are legal, because at this time you wouldn't be allowed to visit him in jail. After that, have a blast.

you are right to wait... stay strong with the decision and i believe ur bf will persist the next time when he want it. 1 mth is not along time for a love to develop, guys are always going for s** rather than real love... you can test it out with ur bf if he be with u for s** or just love... then u can see if it is worth giving him ur first time....good luck and stay strong with ur thinking

I think you should...but thats just me....Im 16 and im waiting until im in college...or at least legal. But hey...you made a goal for yourself...why not see if you can really reach it? i mean think about it that way...keep your eyes on the prize!!!
