Do guys value this quality in a girl do you think? Do they check the girl at the time of marriage to see if she's a virgin (someone told me they did?)

Both my hubby and I waited until we were married. It was hard to wait, but we had made a promise to ourselves that we would wait. Everyone says you need to "kick the tires" so to speak. I don't believe that. If neither of you know what you are doing, then you learn together, and you learn together what you like and don't like. It makes it more exciting, at least I think it does, but since I don't have much experience with men, I can't say for sure.

Am I sorry I waited? A huge NO!!!!!!! Does my hubby value that in me? Yes. It makes us equal, and pure for each other. We know for sure that there is never going to be any STD problems, AIDS (unless I got it from a needle stick at work or something), or any pregnancy that was unwanted.

Checking to see if someone is a virgin is never 100% accurate. The hymen may not be there at all, or may have broken due to an accident, or in some cases abuse. Even in countries where they test the girls, there is no way for them to know for sure. I think the practice is stupid and arcane.

What would be the point in that? No, I didn't. Don't regret it either.

And some religions (like Islam) DO check.

I don't think guys particularly care whether a girl is a virgin or not unless she's some kind of conquest to them.

Trying my best to;
Some do, some don't. Being that I have been married and divorced it has been very hard to not to;
I have not and what country are you living in that does this? If it came to that before marriage I took her word for it, and when it came to it after i was married, ditto. I did not have her checked out. Maybe that was my mistake?? LOL J/K

God Bless!

Yes I am, and yes I do value that in a woman. Of course, I haven't always been a Christian so it's not like I would pass a male virginity test, but I'm a virgin in Christ so to speak.

My father told me, "Son, you may not always be able to afford to buy a New Car, so you will have to settle for a used one. But would you ever want to be with a used woman?"

My wife and I were Virgins when we married. Three kids later and sixteen years of marriage leave us with no regrets whatsoever.

It is having patience in the impatient youth, that provides wonderful years of happiness in a satisfying marriage in the future.

Hollywood glorifies Sin in every form, but it almost never shows the horrible consequences of a promiscuous lifestyle.

If my husband had checked - he would have found my hymen was broken - but not through intercourse funnily enough

I didnt wait - but really wish I had as your mind is full of the old stuff you did.

If we had gone on in there clueless, I think the fun would have been brilliant

I'm certainly waiting for the right man - and NOT before! Doing it before marriage is nothing more than mere human lust and satisfying one's sick desires - and the bible calls it 'fornication', so sex before marriage IS a sin! Being a born again Christian, I will certainly NOT do it beforehand! I"m not one who will ever follow what the world believes and says is 'ok'.

I'm a guy and I'm waiting. And yeah...if a girl waited, that's one of the qualities at the top of the list....

I wouldn't go as far as "hey, we're taking you to the OBGYN to see if you're lying" I would take their word for it....I am great at knowing when someone is lying.

----------

UZ...there is no wait of telling if a guy is a virgin...except a polygraph...

No I didn't and happy I didn't'.

There is no accurate test of virginity. Having a broken hymen does not mean it was the result of intercourse. The hymen can break for any number of reasons or in some women is non existent.

No, they don't "check," sweet girl. And yes, men DO value women who care enough about themselves to wait until marriage. They absolutely do!

I waited and so did my husband. We have always been glad we did!

God bless you for standing up for what is right for yourself!
