In some of the books of the Bible it speaks of Jesus curing some people of some disease(s). He tells that person to go tell what God has done for you. In other instances, Jesus tells the person not to tell anyone. Example, Jesus raises to life a young girl of either 12 or 13 yrs. of age saying she was only sleeping. When she is brought back to life, He tells the parents to give her something to eat and to keep quiet about what he has just done for them. Why is this in the Bible, where He says one thing to help spread the word, then another thing, such as raising a child to life again, not to spread the word? Wouldn't Jesus want everyone to know everything about what God has done for them?

When Jesus first started making miracles and curing people, no one really hated Him, but later, a bunch of religious people were hating Him, and the more miracles he did, the more those people thought He had an unholy spirit. Also, Jesus came to earth to die for us, and set an example of how to live. Maybe he was trying to show us that we do not need to have a lot of people praising us for all the good deeds we do.

I beg to differ on a point of reference you made, son. I quote you - "Josephus, a Jewish Historian (a.d 38-100) and roman historian Cornelius Tacitus (a.d.55-120)are some who support new testament claims." End quote. I've just finished reading these, and NOWHERE did it say that jesus did 300 miracles. Flavius Josephus recorded some of the things that supposedly happened at the time of jesus's Crucifixion, that's about it. As for Tacitus, did he not state he saw jesus 'smitten' by one of the rocks from the 'engines'? Did you not KNOW lying is a sin, boy!??

I took a call that touched on this. If I remember one good answer to this question was that at in certain areas he could be in trouble for doing such things. That he had a plan to die a certain time and place and didnt want to get stoned beforehand. There seem to be some trends. But who really knows.

The spiritual prejudice of the leaders of the Jews was very great. In some instances, if it would bring glory to God, Jesus allowed the healed person to share the great blessing of God. If it would hinder Christs' ministry and movements, He would tell them not to make it noised about.
God bless you as you seek Him with the whole heart!

Each was a different circumstance, Jesus came to die and redeem mankind from sin. When he raised the girl from the dead, he was near Jerusalem near the cross and near the end of his ministry. The heat was on. He needed them to be quiet. At other miracles he was near the beginning, he needed them to spread the word. for encouragement, listen to ttb.org.

If he raised a person back to life I'm pretty sure people are going to notice.. I think he wanted to make a bold statement. By letting some things speak for themselves.

It was about timing.

Jesus Christ came to offer the Jewish People His 1,000 year reign as their King.

It was not to be announced until His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, which is today celebrated as Palm Sunday.

In the end the support He enjoyed on Palm Sunday by the mobs, was totally reversed when the same people were crying "Crucify Him" by Friday.

“Say, ‘We believe in God and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and to the prophet-descendants (of Jacob), and what has been given to Moses and Jesus, and what has been given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims (in submission) to Him.’” (Quran 2:136)

“Indeed, We have revealed to you (O Muhammad) as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the prophet-descendants (of Jacob), Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and We gave the book to David.” (Quran 4:163)

“The Messiah son of Mary was only a messenger (like other) messengers that had passed away before him. And his mother was a strong believer.[1] They both used to eat food.[2] Look how We make the proofs clear to them, then look how they (disbelievers) turn away.” (Quran 5:75)

“He (Jesus) was only a servant whom We have favored, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel.” (Quran 43:59)

When anyone heals another we see their future and tend to want to spare the ill more trouble, thus with some futures its better for them to not tell others, just live the wellness.
