Will Science once again prove that the Bible had it right all along?

The claim by evolutionists that there are different races and that some are superior to others has been used now for several generations. The key teaching is that human beings evolved along different hereditary lines.

Is Genetics about to destroy this old Evolutionary Myth?

Diedre H - if you reall think about what you are saying, and take the train of logic all the way to the station, then you are literally a racist.

Evolution did nothing good for Europe during the 20th century. A lot of arrogance and ignorance towards people of different ethnic backgrounds stems from a deep rooted idea: if we all evolved along different racial lines, then only the strongest will survive.

Evolution spues pure evil at its core. Just because modern Americans are so poorly educated in history and science does not excuse them.

Evolution has always taught that some men are inferior to others. It will continue to teach this.

We shall see... but I think genetics will ultimately document evolution. We'll have to see how it goes with the human genome project.

And... Happykid is right, evolution teaches we all came from the same source and evolved differently in regard to adaptation to geographical environment.

Well, genetically a black person is gonna have different skin pigmintation (if thats what you would call it) chromosomes than a white person.

But, we are all humans.

Theoretically at one point the Earth only had one land mass, not several different continents. ( I believe there is scientific proof for that part. ) In the Bible, during the time the people were building the tower of bable - the stairway to heaven, everyone spoke the same lang. God was so angered that he changed so that there were many different languages so that they couldnt understand each other and could no longer coordinate efforts.

Theoretically, some people think that at God seperated the one land into the several different continents.

Like I said, they proof that all the continents were together at some point by the geography and geology. The layers of dirt and sediment and that stuff on one coast will match that of the other. The shapes of the coasts could sort of fit together to. I think non religious ppl think it happened over all the years through earthquakes.

I think you misunderstand genetics and evolution.

Evolution does not claim that any race is better than others. The claim that there are different races is a matter of observable fact. It requires nothing other than observation.

It has been shown through genetics, and mitochondrial DNA that apparently all humans have one common female ancestor. This does not disprove evolution, nor does it prove the Bible.

Evolution is not a myth; it is a scientific theory that has been shown time and again to be correct.

By definition, the Bible is myth. The word Myth does not imply untruth, it is simply an unconfirmed historical tale that may be true or false. It is usually very old and involves supernatural events and beings. Therefore, the Bible is myth, evolution is not.

Err, "common ancestry" is THE central claim of evolutionary theory. How could genetics proving common ancestry conflict with evolution?

The idea that "there are different races and that some are superior to others" has nothing to do with modern evolutionary theory, which explicitly repudiates the concept of "superior" or "inferior" races of humans.

It is an old idea and has different origins in different cultures. The biblical idea of the "curse of Ham" is one example.

Your question is a straw man.

You've gotta tell me who your supplier is. Whatever you're smoking, it must be *GREAT*!

I'd love to meet the evolutionists you're talking about, because they must have stepped out of a time machine. Aside from James Watson, who recently got universally lambasted for his comments on race and lost his position at Cold Spring Harbor, the notion of a biological basis for race has been discredited for decades. When people talk about race, it's purely a social designation with no legitimate biological foundation that I've heard of.

While some social engineers and others tried to form a positive eugenics movement as late as the early 20th century, all of that went out the window after World War II. Although recent genetic discoveries have allowed us to trace certain markers to certain geographical regions the genetic variation between individuals is so great that there's no clear biological basis consistent with the distinctions society regards as "race".

I'm sure Genetics will destroy your "Evolutionary Myth", because your notion of evolution (among other things) seems pretty mythical as far as I can tell.

on the contrary, genetics provides good reasons why populations that consist of a single breeding pair most often go extinct. there is no good evidence at all that a single breeding pair of humans ever existed, much less genetic evidence.

you seem confused about the claims of evolutionary theory - it's hard to tell what you mean by 'race' and 'superior', but one suspects that you have constructed a caricature. localised populations may have adaptations such as dark skin color, but they are not thought to be superior in any absolute sense.

Already has.

"Social Darwinism" and the racist manipulations of bigotries using Darwinist language but not modern evolutionary findings do not throw out the evidence of evolutionism anymore than the racist 'theories" of the "Protestant Bible Believing" KKK throw out the evidences of the truth of Christianity.

many evolutionists are mongenesists, that the different branches come fron one individual or couple.

Evolution does not claim that some races are superior to others. To the contrary it is religion with its "mark of Cain" and '"chosen people" and "Christ killers" nonsense that has stoked racial prejudice through the centuries.
And "evolutionist" believe that all humans are decedents of a single African family. Something that white Christians would never admit.

so how does one rate intelligence?

let me quote my dad:
"i dont care how many degrees you have if you dont know God your opinion means s*** to me"

If one does not consider God in the equation inevitably one will dream up moronic ideas and try to prove their superiority scientifically. what a complete waste of time studying to prove yourself an idiot.

btw dad was an exceptionally smart guy yet he never claimed to be. he was also fond of saying "the only thing im really sure of is God exist" oh and um he was roman catholic too

One good thing about DNA is that it has proved that Mormonism is a false religion. Though that was already known by Theologians, the proof has been shown to the Mormons. They are doing their best to ignore fact, still, though.

And yes, I believe genetics will also destroy the evolutionary myth as well!

God bless!
