IF your cat is biting herself then it is very likely that she might have fleas. I had no idea that my cat had fleas at first because she was not scratching alot, but she was biting(Knawing) herself. I Talked to my sister about it (who is a vet) and she said that she might have tics or fleas so I bought some flea shampoo from the store and sure enough when I gave her a bath the dead fleas started falling off.Try some medicated shampoo!!!!

If the vet said not to worry then maybe you shouldn't but if you feel it is soemthing else then go to a different vet and get a second opinion. Otherwise just call a few vets and decribe the condition and see what they think it is. I don't think giving your cat a bath will help especially if it is dry skin as shampoos and soaps only dry out the skin more.

My cats are allergic to fleas. Even though they are indoor cats they occasionally pick them up in the summer, maybe from having the windows open? I'm not sure. But both cats break out in little lumps around the places where fleas like to hide. They especially show up around their neck area. The vet said these are reactions to the flea bites. I don't know how common a flea allergy is but both of my cats are affected by it. The lumps go away though usually within a few days of treating them with Advantage.

I had a cat once who had allergies and it made him break out in small bumps all over his head and neck. I had to bathe him in a special shampoo that the vet gave me.

I would take her to the vet just to be safe. Depending on what kind of "little bumps" she has, it could be tumorous. That's on the extreme side; it's not even likely, but I would want to be sure with a vet's opinion.

Do not excessively bathe your cat -- she may be having an allergic reaction, maybe even to the shampoo you''re using!

Cats really don't need to be bathed and really shouldn't be bathed often. They have VERY sensitive skin.

A trip to the vet should be in line

those are called 'fatty tumors' they are NOT a cancer or scary problem! as for dry skin- cats can usually take care of that themselves , by licking.it adds oil to the hair and the food you get your cat , can help too. buy a better food for a healthier cat. oh and also, cats only need a bath if they have been "skunked'!

You shouldn't be washing her at all. Cats are more than capable of keeping themselves spotless.
