I think we will always be tested. But we must ask the Lord to guide us and lead us not into temptation. There will always be temptations , but I think it is the work of the devil. We must ask for forgiveness, when we do something we are sure is not right, If he brings us to it he will bring us through it. I am thankful that we have such a merciful and forgiving God. Interesting question. God Bless you and all Christians.

I know only God knows what your true weaknesses are. Maybe what YOU think are your weaknesses are actually just fears or misunderstandings. If you really think God is testing you on something you "suck at" then he knows that you actually do have the potential to do, and you can't be afraid. Remeber, "Just because something is hard doesn't mean you should stop trying, it just means you have to try harder."

A resounding YES! These test are sometimes painful, but necessary for growth. The wind blows the trees of the earth back and forth bending and stretching, without this process trees become brittle and break.

Psalm 30:5 .......weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Psalm 11:4 The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test, the children of man.
5. The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.

Psalm 26:2 Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind.

Zec 13:9 And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are my people'; and they will say, 'The LORD is my God.'"

Well, sorta, kinda, maybe..........

In my experiences, He has "tested" me, just as a hammer is strengthened by it's blows or steel is tempered by fire. There is no doubt, I will be tested again.

However, He will also PROTECT us from our weaknesses. He knows our frailities better than we ourselves do. He also knows what we could "ace". In His wisdom, He either strengthens or protects.

You have heard it said, that some people never learn...for me, it has not been a matter of taking the test until I pass. Either we rise above our situations or we are beaten by them.

God will test us, to strengthen our faith and find if we are really sincere and determined to serve Him, but be encouraged, it makes us stronger and draws us closer to God. The Bible says the trial of our faith is more precious than gold!

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Job was tested and impressively kept his salvation and in the end was rewarded. Job, like the rest of us, is subject to his own free will and had to choice to react anyway he wanted. Let's all aspire to handle our tragedies as well as he did.

I don't see it like God kicking us when we are down. I see earth as one giant classroom and it is all a lesson. So we will indeed be "tested." And what you resist, will persist. You will be "tested" over and over if you don't get a particular lesson the first time.

I tend to agree with lola and Destined to win. God is not without mercy. If you aren't getting something and it's whipping your butt He isn't going to allow you to be destroyed by it. You should cry out to Him for His help. If you are truly struggling He will not let you be defeated. I think it is the devil who wants you to believe that.

We will be tested. But we may pass and we may fail. We don't get to keep going til we get everything right.

we are only tested until we pass
then there is no test
we reach a place of rest and peace
we will alway have to content with the flesh
and to keep it under subjection

Absolutely! Sometimes the same thing happens to us over and over again until we stop and say, "Ok God, What are you trying to teach me." Once you learn what He wants you to; you move on.
