When staying on a hotel, why do you have to pay a parking fee when there is nobody on the parking attendant's booth at night to watch your cars. Still, the hotel is not responsible for any stolen articles from your vehicle.

If someone parks their vehicle in a company's parking space, then the parking fee is really another term for parking rent.

Nothing is free now-a-days...

It's just another fee you need to pay. It generates revenue for the business and gives you a closer place to park to the hotel. It wasn't meant to be a security measure.

I assume it registers your car as a guest. Most places only ask you for the make and model of your car so you are listed as authorized.
