I drive a 2005 Hyundai Tucson. Lately, when I step on the gas, it chugs a bit, almost as if it isn't getting enough gas even though there's plenty of gas in the tank. It doesn't happen all the time but it's frequent enough to make me concerned. It started happening about a week ago when the weather got cold and we got a lot of snow. Am I not warming it up long enough or is there a more serious problem? It doesn't have a lot of mileage on it and I don't drive like crazy. Can anyone tell me what's going on with it?

This sounds like a filter problem: either the fuel filter is clogged, or the air filter is clogged.

Either way, head over to the garage and have the filters changed.

Good to go.

Change fuel filter, make sure the spark plugs and air filter are up to par and within limits or replace them. make sure to get or do regular oil changes. If problem persists might want to have it checked out at a trustworthy local repair shop

You're fuel injector may be clogged. Try adding some Fuel Injector cleaner in the next time you pump gas. If that doesn't work, you may have to bring it in to get it flushed out.

You don't mention a check engine light and none of the "mekaniks" noticed but made a bunch of guesses. Almost every guess would set the check engine light. I would suggest you check the throttle positinn sensor (tps) located on the throttle body. It tells the engine how much fuel it needs.

probably need a tune up and new fuel filter. Take it to a mechanic. Probably about 200 bucks.
