David went to the brook to pick his five stones for the battle with Goliath. Why did he choose stones from the brook? These stones have been rolled around in the current of the water over time until ALL the rough edges are gone and they are pleasant to work with, polished and smooth.
When we are going through trials the Holy Spirit is keeping us because we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said out of your belly would flow "Rivers" of living water. This same water keeps us through trials, knocking off the rough edges, polishing us so that we become pleasant to work with.

In southern terms I would ask, ain't God good?

"In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." The true believer should accept trials and tribulations because "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for Gods own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 1:6, 7, 2:9). "If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you....."if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that name let him glorify God" (1 Peter 4:14, 16).

Honey yes I do . It makes us learn to except what ever comes our way. It makes us appreciate the good times and be thankful for the not so good times. It is in the valley's that we grow. It makes us stronger and makes us realize that without the Lord there would be no good times and that he is so forgiving. My niece went through some real bad times and she got stabbed five times. She is closer to the Lord now than she has ever been. Praise the Lord for his mercy and protection. Good question. love ya. God Bless.

James 1:2-4.....Consider it all joy, my brothers, when YOU meet with various trials, knowing as YOU do that this tested quality of YOUR faith works out endurance. But let endurance have its work complete, that YOU may be complete and sound in all respects, not lacking in anything.

Absolutely, with all the trials and tribulations, it strengthens our faith in God. I know that I could not make it a day without knowing that God is there with me every moment of the day.

Like steel sharpening steel and as a jeweler refines silver, yes I do.

The book of James tells us to rejoice in our trials and tribulations.

Most definetly. If we are not challenged, than we can not acquire strength to endure other things that may come into our lives. It allows us to become a better Christian and strengthen our faith.
