That's what a JW asked me. Not such a bad Idea I'd say.

There are so many responses about not having anything to do on earth forever or living forever would be horrible. The thing is we’d have forever to learn about and accomplish anything we want. What’s so bad about that? And as far as some of the other comments that we’re made…the fact of the matter is that no one else would die either, not just you as an individual, and you’d even get the chance to see you’re dead loved ones come back to life. In connection to ‘Moiraes Fates' comment, your 84 year old grandmother would not only become more knowledgeable about things, but (here’s a thought for you to ponder on) so would you.

As far as me, I can’t wait for the end of Satan and his system of things. No more death, sickness, or pain. No more governments, or for that matter, economy would be of the past…not owing anyone money just to (basically) live. I can’t wait to become the best that I can be as a musician. You can only learn so much and be limited in your pursuit in today’s world, but when we get to live forever…ah!!...that’s what I can’t wait for!!

Yes there will be plenty to do and learn from according to the new scrolls that will be opened up (Rev 20:12).(Rev 21:3,4.)

And just think God will use his people under his & his Son Jesus direction to turn this earth in a paradise as it was in the beginning but this time without SATAN.

Isaiah 65:17-25. vs.21 they will certainly build houses 7 have occupancy, & plant vineyards and eat their fruitage. 22 they will not build & someone else have occupancy, they will not plant & someone else do the eating. For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be, 7 the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full. ....
All of this is just scratching the surface; no not boring whatsoever.

No my friend not a bad idea, or promise rather, at all.

For like the times of a tree will the times of my individuals be, 7 the paintings in their possess palms my selected ones will use to the entire. .... Many of these answers make you think many are suffering from depression, and I can see why in this miserable world. I for one look forward to life eternal. The animals will still die, so life will not be stagnant. Imagine being able to play with all the baby animals. I just love them and being outside on a beautiful day, and I love the sound and smell of fresh running water like from a stream. Can't wait. And then having my parents who suffered through this miserable system come alive again to a bright new healthy world. Ahhh what bliss!

And its true! We can live forever and never get sick, or grow old, or have to suffer wars, violence, crime, hunger, poverty or any other problem we have on the earth today.
Did I hear someone say boring? No. Never.
For those of us who have an enquiring mind, just think of the endless questions, investigation, learning etc we have in front of us. Those to aspire to being artists, musicians, gardeners, designers, but find they can't find the time or have no talent, will be able to fulfil their desire.
Psalm 145 v 16 "You are opening your hand and satisfying the desire of every living thing".
The only requirement - to take in the accurate knowledge of God and his son Jesus Christ. John 17 v 3.

No, I wouldn't. Dying is not a bad thing, it really isn't. Its the threat of imminant death that gives life meaning. You learn to cherish all possible moments because you know that you may not have tomorrow.

Death also gives the possibility of new life, and new ideas. It allows life to continue to move forward.

Imagine how someone born during the 11th century would be now. Things like computers would utterly terrify them and be works of the devil.

if no one died, we'd be better off dead.

And if you were the only one to never die... think about it... everything would change all around you but you would always stay the same. And eventually anachronism would set in as you become unable to understand the new things coming before you from those who have the motivation for change.

You would desire for things to always stay the same because it would be what you're familiar with. It would be what you understand.

Think about it... there's a reason why an 80 year old woman has such a difficult time learning how to run a dvd player. Because its completely and utterly alien to her. She knows what it can do but her mind has difficulty simply wrapping around the concept.

My 84 year old grandmother simply cannot seem to understand that the circumstances of 9/11 has changed the Immigration Visa laws so they're much tougher than they were before. Because they weren't when she was a kid. She actually refuses to believe me when I tell her the difference. Btw.. this means something to me as my immigration visa to move to the US was just approved so I can move down to be with my husband.

My grandfather finds computers so mindboggling that he doesn't even want to touch them. It took my father 5 years to convince him to carry a cell phone.

No, the mind is not meant to live forever. We can't handle it.

I wouldn't want to live forever. I can't imagine anything more horrifying.

Mind you, it would be very cool to find out what the world is going to be like in 500 years.

God promises that we will not be bored. He promises to satisfy our every desire.
Consider that currently we are only using a very small portion of our brain, just imagine when it all works perfectly and you can remember every thing you want to remember. Not just peoples names :) but also anything you investigated or studied you would remember and could continue to add onto the information forever. I can't remember a lot of the stuff I learned in high school, granted it was 20+ years ago but still it's very frustrating when my kids need help with their homework ...Geometery proofing...oh sure!
Grammar... you betcha :)

Thats what I want and how can you ever be bored! Time to learn a musical instrument, travel, study things in detail and never to grow old an answer to all my worries.

yes
there is nothing more interesting and depressing to me than knowing and not being able to know the future
also, i don't have enough time to learn every detail about every piece of information

there is no doubt in my mind
i would love that
i'm sorry but if people are not going to die around me than i'm going to die around them
the lose is there either way

the sight of all the incredible things we've done at an increasingly exponential rate makes me so fascinated at what's left to discover
you'll have to learn to live with the despair and injustice
but overall there will be some incredible milestones that can push it all aside
i want to understand everything i possibly can now
and i want to see all the things i can't understand yet as they appear in the future

Oh ... how I am looking forward to this "real life" ... the way Jehovah God had intended! (1 Timothy 6:19)

Not only will we not be sick anymore, nor will we grow old and die. ... Then crime and hunger will be things of the past as well and ... our dear loved ones who are now asleep in death will be restored to life ... just like that ... to be with us once more ...
I can't wait!!

Can you imagine ... breathing in clean air ... drinking clear water ... having plenty of energy ... being close to wild animals who are submissive to us ... being content and happy ALL THE TIME!?!?! ... Wow, that will be soooo good!
