this is my dumb question for the day?

ok this is very kinda dumb but why is crap brown?????? i have always wondered why crap is brown and now i hope to find out!!!!!!

This chemical is formed from the breakdown products of old red blood cells. The liver converts it into this (yellowish) coloured material which is excreted in the bowel and hence provides colouring for your faeces.
