Do Navigators or Offensive/Defensive Weapons Officers log hours that are considered flight time for aircraft, say if they wanted to pursue a career in Civil Aviation for airlines. Or do Navigators have to learn to fly at all. This of course would be like a F-15E or B-1 crew.

From what I've seen, most airlines at least do not allow WSO hours to be counted, heck most of em don't even allow many rotary wing hours to transfer over for the hiring requirements.

B-1 navigators do not get trained to fly because there is a pilot and a co-pilot in the B-1.

F-15E WSO are trained in the basics of flying in case something happens to the pilot (blackout, gets sick, mental freak out, gets killed by gun shots). The WSO is trained on th basics of taking off and landing and controlling the plane in mid-air. WSO do not have pilot status but can take control of the plane and land it safely if something ever happens to the pilot.

Navigators must learn how to fly in order to be hired as pilots.
