what do you do if you accidentally overdosed on midol?

i took some earlier today and i thought it had been 6 hours but obiously not what do i do?

i take 2 like recommended each time i take it

Some more information is needed here.

How much midol did you take earlier and then when did you take it again and how much?

Are you an adult sized person? How much do you weigh?

Do you have any other illnesses - particularly diseases of the liver or kidneys.

In most cases of accidental overdose such as you have described, people will be fine doing nothing and just not taking any more midol for the rest of the day. If this is the case, you probably don't need to rush to a doctor quite yet.

In some circumstances you might become unwell e.g.:
-if you have taken a LOT of midol both times
-if you are very small and have taken a lot of midol compared to your body weight
-if you have an underlying disease of your liver, particularly, with the medications in midol

If you only took 2....and only EVER take 2 at a time, you will be ok. Drink lots of fluids (no alcohol, of course) and don't take anymore of them. Cramps don't last long and you shouldn't need them anymore this month.

If you haven't been honest about how many you've been taking (I'm not judging you---and only you know the truth) then the problem could be really bad. The most dangerous ingredient in Midol is "acetaminophen" which is the same thing as Tylenol. Taking too much acetaminophen can destroy your liver.

I hope that all this is is a slight timing mistake and you won't do it again. If you took 2 at, let's say noon and then mistakenly took 2 more at 3 or 4pm.......you'll be ok. Just please don't take anymore medication--at least for 36-48 hours from now (unless you have something you HAVE to take per your doctors orders). Give your liver a chance to recuperate.

I think you'll be fine. Was it like 1 hour later or more like 3 or 4 that you took the next dose? If you feel ill or if anything happens, go to the ER. If you just want to be safe, call poison control or the manufacturers of Midol to check. Doses don't have to be exactly six hour apart to be safe.

you will be fine. it doesnt sound like it was intentional. i dont think you took enough for it to be harmful.
