Couple of years ago USA Today had an article on a new project in St. Lucie County Fl. to use geoplasma technology to destroy garbage in a big way and turn it into power and a substance about like rock. www.geoplasma.com was the company involved. Just interested to know if the project is making progress or is technical problems preventing startup.

The website still works. I suppose efficiency would depend on the waste involved (wood versus rock, etc.)
