it's a mish mash written by lots of different ppl and it wasn't written in english so it would be harder to understand and anything past kings I think is a load of blah blah made by man except for maybe the dead sea scrolls but who knows Jesus may be a trick of the Romans to get the Jews to submit?

I won't go into the detail but the Bible has been well preserved as the Word of God and it's been shown to be so.

There won't be a new revelation because the Bible is clear that his literary work is done.

If the Bible indicated that homosexuality was not a sin, then homosexuality would be healthy for society. But, the Bible doesn't indicate that. Sin, is sin, because it, in some way, hurts the individual or society, not because God decides he just wants to say no.

I find the Bible very easy to undertand but it is read on several levels:

. As a simple book, it can be very simple to read and it can be understood for its history and its revelation. Many people don't like the King James Version of the BIble and I get that. If so, try the New International Version. It is equally effective and is more contemporary in English.

. A very deep book that requires an understand of the culture and time of the author; which most people won't spend the time to understand

. An even deeper book that requires an understanding of the underlying languages of the Author; dominatly greek and hebrew but also some aramaic and latin.

Please keep in mind, you need none of this to simply read the Bible and understand the basic revelation of God.

I mean, seriously, how hard it is to understand:
"God loved the world so much that he sent his only son so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have life forever".

Would it be equally hard to understand if I said:
" The State Government wants to ensure all drivers are safe so whoever can't pass the basic test cannot be legally licensed to drive".

Why is one easy to understand and the other so hard???

Take Care.

Wow, you are asking a couple of questions here that are totally different.

If God said homosexuality was not a sin...yes I would believe him. But he did not say that.

The Bible has NOT been edited for the purposes of human beings. Where do you get such a notion. I have seen others say that in here...but I've never seen anyone site a source for this belief. As far as I know, we have different translations but the actual word of God is intact.

The Bible is easy to understand for the soul...it it not easy for our very finite, sinful, selfish perspective. What God says is available to all...how we perceive it depends on our willingness to be open to the will of God and to his revelation.

Keep waiting for new Divine Revelation. It will never come because God said that Quran is the last Book and Mohammad is the last Messenger of God.
God doesn't contradict Himself. He says He had his Angeles destroy entire city of Homosexuals. There Prophet Lat (Lut) requested God to destroy these homosexuals because they always refused to listen to Prophet Lat. So God did destroyed them.

God says His best creation are Humans with intelligence that no any other creation has. If they turn worst than animals, off course God destroys them.

God is unchanging - he will not contradict himself on homosexuality or anything else. That is one of the great things about him.
You think we need a new revelation? So you think God isn't right and needs to change to think like you do - God is God and we are not.
With God's help understanding the Bible becomes one of the most meaningful and greatest joys of life - ask him to help you understand.

Because its been changed so many times. It no longer retains majority of the original message. It was the book of God when it was revealed, but now its the book of.... all the people who changed it so many times.

God is unchangeable, the scriptures state that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will never contradict Himself therefore, the several scriptures that declare the depravity of homosexuality and other sins of morality will never be changed to simply please humans desires, nor will any other commandments.

No, it would never happen, God remains unchanged He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
He wont change His word just because you don't like the message.
For Him to do that, that would mean He made a mistake and He is perfect and never made a mistake.

The KJ is written on a 4th grade reading level....so if you can not understand that stop telling us Christians "that we are uneducated and that is why we believe in religion." It seems to me that you are unlearned in your area of arguement! You obviously have taken what somebody else said and regurgitated it from your own mouth to try to sound smart when you accidently ended sounding like an idiot. Why don't you just go to bed like you mom told you too?!

If it was an 'easy' book to understand, how long would it be before it was on the shelf collecting dust?
