Women still should not dress like a 'butch". Women can wear pants, but should look feminine. There is a difference in the look of a man and a woman. I wear men's jeans because I cannot get the women's jeans to fit my 32x32. Actually the waist is a little smaller, but down where the pants ride makes it 32. I am a 71 year old woman and don't like to have to pay for women's pants at 2 times the price of those for men that will fit me. People do not think I am a man even though I wear their pants.

EDIT: to iciss: A lot of women need to wear pants to cover up what women with short tight skirts can not cover when they stoop or squat. Pants are much more modest, even tight ones.


OOOOPPPPpppsssss. I meant to say the role has been switched since women were told not to wear clothing of mens and vice versa. Back then, men wore something like dresses.

No. I hate dresses and wouldn't be caught dead in a dress. I prefer wearing pants because I don't like walking with my legs close together and don't like people staring at me like a piece of meat if I were to wear a dress or skirt.

I think men should still be wearing robes if women should be wearing dresses. Padre Pio refused to hear confession from a woman who did not wear a skirt/dress that came above the knee, or who wore slacks. He, of course, wore a cassock, so it was okay from him. I wish he would have also chastised men's mode of dress though if he was making such a fine point of things. IMO. I believe that slacks came about because of the taming of the horse/horse-back riding.

why wouldn't women still wear dresses? to be honest, some women should wear dresses instead of pants because the pants don't flatter them...i won't elaborate cuz you all know what i'm talking about...

i believe that people should dress as they please for the most part, but to always have respect for others' sensibilities.

I think women should be allowed to wear whatever they wish to. I like my dresses and skirts, but only once in a while. But I'm most comfotable in pants. No one has a right to tell me what I can or can not wear except ME!!!!!!!!!

I like long dresses and calf length, all full skirts. But I also like the pants because I can work in them. Both work well for me.

That would be (if you are asking about Christian denominations) the old-time Pentecostals. Since they are comfortable with it, I have no reason to dispute it. I don't believe in it for myself, but they are entitled to dress as they like.

I think dresses r more consrevative... i dont like tight pants because they show the figure of a women and attract the opposite sex..

I think women should still be wearing dresses because it is MODEST! And you can think all day long that it does not make a difference or that we men can handle you are wrong. If you think a man can handle Satan has lied to you and you are hiding behind your whorish pride because then you will know that you have to change and submit to your husband. Also the Bible says that it is "an abomination to wear that which pertaineth to a man." Then you say how do you know that pants are only men's clothing? Isn't it cultural? Look at the bathroom signs in America? How do we know which is the men's restroom? Oh....he is wearing pants....
