If you are a woman that has a period have your Hemoglobin checked by your Dr. It's a simple blood test. That tells if you are anemic. Most women are because they don't get enough iron. Iron is in raisins, cream of wheat, spinach and green leafy veggies, excluding ice burg lettuce. You can take a multivitamin and mineral supplement for good measure. Make sure it has the B vitamins in it, they are for energy and calcium and magnesium and boron. These work together for your bones. Most women do not take enough as young adults and children. They are finding more osteoporosis in these women as they age. So you make bone over and over and need the minerals to help with that. Eat a well rounded diet include some lean red meat, women need that in their diet. Good luck.

There is a drink out there called Zip Fizz. It is loaded with vitamins and minerals and definitely wakes you up without dosing you with lots of caffeine. It is a powder that comes in a tube that you pour into a water bottle and shake it up. It comes in about 4 different flavors and tastes great.

If you eat foods that give you lots of energy, they generally are carbohydrates that pick you up and then dump you down a little later. Same with something like a cup of regular coffee.

The Zip Fizz won't do that. I know we can buy it at Costco and at Walgreens. Not sure where else.

i hear that protein-rich foods are supposed to keep you going all day, because it stays in you stomach for a long time and your body takes a while to digest them. things like peanut butter or other nuts, anything with meat or fish, and eggs are all excellent sources of protein. if you pair that with some carbohydrates for a quick initial boost of energy to get you going, you should be set for the day.

make sure you snack on veggies and fruits to get all the vitimins you need throughout the day. stuff like sugar and caffiene make you feel great at first, but it doesnt last long. you crash, and then youre left tired half-way through the day
