If you have a concrete floor slab, you can rent a small jackhammer with a chisel head from Home Depot. If not, you have to be careful and use a hand chisel and hammer. Go slow and be careful.

there is no easy way..........
I have tried using a floor sander....big mistake...not only was it taking forever dust was everywhere.........
there might be an easier way but if it absolutely has to come up I just take a hammer and crowbar and start knocking..........
