If the tooth is bad it is going to come out one way or the other. If the tooth is bad the roots will begin dieing and the tooth will change color to a darker shade. You may end up woth terrible pain and infection requireing surgery to correct it. In the process of your tooth dieing you will also have a terrible odor, bad breath, like something died in your mouth, mainly because it did.

If you are scared of the novacaine you can always ask to be put under fot the extraction. Just remember in the future to brush and floss at least 2 times a day.pp

If it is has caries or is infected, you should pull it, otherwise the infection can spread and cause serious problems.

If it is a baby tooth that has not shed out in time you should pull it, otherwise will make the permanent teeth to go to the wrong side and cause serious problems!

If a tooth needs to be pulled it should be pulled, period. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OTHER ADVICE!

OK- Are you asking about teeth in general or wisdom teeth? If you are asking about wisdom teeth, it's not that bad getting them pulled, and you need to get them removed or else they will crowd your other teeth and cause more pain in the long run, plus your other teeth that you are supposed to have will start to get crooked from the over crowding in your mouth. As for teeth in general, have you been to a dentist to ask about alternatives to pulling? I would think if you have a funky tooth, there are not many alternatives! Good luck to you!

Assuming its salvageable, have it filled. Some dentists would sooner pull a tooth than fill the cavity if it's in a difficult place. Express your concerns to him and get a second opinion.

if you are getting baby teeth pulled, it is not that b ad. i got two baby molars pulled and it was over in less than 30 seconds. it doesnt huret at all. all you feel is a little pressure but nothing that hurts. if you are getting an adult tooth removed though, that is a different story.

Everytime you eat, bite with that tooth, but be carefull, if not, you can swallow your tooth with your food! (it happened to me, it doesn't hurt, but after a while you realize that your tooth is gone... and then you'll know you swallowed it... and the tooth fairy will not go in there! (haha!, just kidding).)
or
just make it turn and turn in it's place until it's off (It doesn't hurt at all if its about to fall out!)
or
after a while it will fall by itself

let the others do it for you, or tie a string to a door knob, the other end to the troublesome and wiggly tooth, wait for someone to open the door, voila!!!! you got a tooth extraction, gargle with icy cold water, to minimize the bleeding, ive got a degree in dentistry since i was in kindergarten.

If there is pain you can use a oil on it. I have seen it kill an infection.

Check at a health food store or ebay.
I have seen a product called biodent appear to grow back roots on teeth.

Check for some large heath food stores in a big city. They should carry these products. Email me if u want.
