I'm 14 years old...seriously I want to know that my friend said this...

And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.--25:4

Merciless g_d later came with a different plan and get-up, he impersonate as a merciful son of g_d to repair his own name, to foolish others. (Of course both of them are same…you fool!)

Wanna learn more about why violence always happens by political extremists and religious extremists all the times??

Number of Cruel or Violent Passages in KJB : 857 verses.

How many has g_d killed? :

So far I come up with a total of 2,270,971 …not including, at least in some cases, women, children and unborn babies.

Then g_d sent his son secretly to “repair” his name. Everything was well-planned.

(I know the “delusional” majority will “report abuse”…are you the one??)

Numbers 25:4  And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

The "heads" were the leaders of Israel. The leaders were to be hung.

GOD bless

Well you can't look at the bible by a line, it is symbolism. so if you know this chapter it is talking about The Israelites and how their leaders are bringing them own. They are promoting sleeping around, stealing, and killing. So Phinehas kills the leaders which is what the phrase "Take the heads of the people" then she exposes them for the frauds that they were "which is hanging them up in the sun before the LORD"
and then the people saw that they were living in sin and killed the leaders and returned to the ways of the lord. and his anger was turned away from them. Or the droughts that were going on ended.
You don't have to believe in the bible to understand it, You just can't take it literally or by just one verse.

Ancient times were pretty brutal. People often blamed what they did on their Gods, saying he "told them to do it." Most actions like that were political moves, actually, showing other people that they better not cross the leader who did it (i.e. Moses), or the same could happen to them.

That event was not out of character with other things done in that day and age. It illustrates how far we've come morally to be so shocked by it now.

For the people who don't think this comes from the bible, here it is in Numbers 25:4...

Mind you, the "heads of the people" means the "leaders of the people." In other words, "Hang [by their neck] the leaders in the hot sun." It's definitely political.

Here's the NIV translation, which is always popular:
"The LORD said to Moses, "Take all the leaders of these people, kill them and expose them in broad daylight before the LORD, so that the LORD's fierce anger may turn away from Israel.""
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=numbers%2025:4;&version=31;

Mind you, "exposing them in broad daylight" in the desert climate they were in meant they would fry and stink in the hot desert heat. Like I said, those were brutal times.

This scripture comes from Numbers 25:4 But you must read the surrounding verses to understand what was happening. Let me see if I can help you.
The Israelites were to a holy people unto the LORD their God. Begin reading in verse 1 of the 25th chapter and see where Israel joined with Baal-peor; they were worshipping false gods and committing abomination before the LORD. Because of this the anger of the LORD caused a plague to come upon the people killing some 24,000 people.

God is a just and holy God, pure and undefiled. And He calls His people to obey His commands that the grace and mercy and love of our God will fill your lives. To those who disobey the LORD there is nothing but the wrath of God abiding upon them.
For all God has done to set us free of our sins how can we turn away from a love so great? There are those who look back and turn away from the LORD and those are the the ones who have nothing but the wrath of God to look forward to.
Rejoice in the LORD and share the message of salvation with others. Turn away from those who would lead you astray and follow after Jesus, the Savior of your soul.

The Old Testament does have violence in it but don't believe that the nature of God is to be violent. He created us and gave us life. He can take it away too. But it is His desire for us to love Him as he loves us in abundance...more than we can even imagine.

There are Athiests who may try to convice you that God is a bad being and that you shouldn't trust God. Please don't be swayed by these kinds of people. Do consult with a pastor about your questions because these pages are not enough to give you the full explanation, and i don't pretend to be able to give it either. Know that the Bible was written by a lot of different people over hundreds of years. And just as there are books in the Bible, many were also left out because they were disputed to be the Gospel. The chapters of the Bible were written by men, inspired by God as we have been taught. I personally believe that people can make mistakes and those who are well-intentioned may not always have things perfectly correct.

But study more than just one scripture in the Bible and it is fine to question things that you see. It ultimately comes down to you and what you believe and your own faith in what is correct. And not all answers will be known in this life. Please do consult a pastor or knowledgable person who can answer your questions about God directly. But yes, God can get jealous and be angry. When you get angry, does that make you an evil person? Or do you have the capacity to love as well? So which is the real you?

You have to read the whole chapter of Numbers 25:4 " Some men of Israel began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab and did sacrifices unto Moabs and joined Baal-peor. God was very angry at their actions and disobedience.

i've got self assurance the Bible is a valid source for a controversy, there are some people who do exactly no longer choose to take heed to it, so there is not any evaluate arguing. once you tell them with regard to the Bible they get indignant and attempt to argue each and every evaluate the international against the Bible. they do exactly no longer choose to be held responsible to all people or be persecuted simply by fact Christian's are actually not of the international. once you have self assurance in God and the Bible, you will get made exciting of, even possibly be killed for it, however the advantages is larger in the dominion of God. people who deny Him now, will properly known he's God whilst He returns: Philippians 2: 9-11 " 9. for this reason God has fairly exalted him and bestowed on him the call it relatively is above each and every call, 10. so as that on the call of Jesus each and every knee might desire to bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11. and each tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the honour of God the daddy."

The Old Testament is the record of a primitive people groping toward understanding of God. Their violence was part of their tribal culture, and not mandated by God. You have to read the early books as an account of people who had not entirely left their old pagan ways, which often included sacrifices of human beings. The New Testament gives the full message, of love and self-sacrifice.

Numbers 25:4; This is in reference to the people who went out or the camp of Israel in to the country of Moab to join them in their idolatry. God was going to make an example to the people by punishing those who were the leaders in sinning against God.

Don't believe everything you hear an dmake sure the one who is telling you this is a trustworthy person who knows a lot about God or anything they are talking about.
