I know it is legal in Wyoming. It is not uncommon to see guns on the street, or I have even seen them in bars during hunting season.
I only got one answer where it looked like someone knew the law, the others looked to me like opinion.

I am hesitant to answer this but...
"Open carry" is legal in many states.
Often without a permit of any sort.
Fortunately, many people do not know this.
I know open carry is legal in PA. Not sure about TX but I'm guessing yes. You can find out easily with an internet search. Of course getting in a vehicle AUTOMATICALLY makes your weapon concealed - so you would need a permit to transport it (even unconcealed on your waist) in a vehicle. Also, private business owners are free to tell you to LEAVE thier property since you will certainly scare many, many people. I do NOT advise this.
Ok - i just checked: It is ILLEGAL to 'open carry' in Texas. But LEGAL in Arizona and New Mexico.

Yes, but almost all public buildings will be off limits to you, as well as most retail and commercial establishments. No public parks, no schools, no public transit. People will constantly be calling the police to report "man with gun". Plus, as you might read in the papers, the police don't hesitate to shoot and kill unarmed people they think have a weapon; they sure won't hesitate to kill you and ask questions later.
No open carry in Texas, eh? That's surprising. I've been to Carson City and Virginia City in Nevada; LOTS of holstered weapons in plain view. It's a community mentality.

Check your states gun laws, some states will allow you to carry a gun in sight as long as you are not brandishing it in a threatening manor.
Cities may have their own restrictions and may by contrary to federal and state laws, but then those laws would be unconstitutional because of the second amendment and that any law contrary to the constitution is unconstitutional and therefore mute (void).

Carson City, Nevada. There are some restrictions, but last time I was there everyone was wearing a gun just like you. I would call first to see if it is still legal. I do not know about the rest of Nevada though.

No they were no longer stolen from Mexico as many communities declare. most of the land in question changed into ceded to united statesa. with the Treaty of Guadalupe, which ended the Mexican-American conflict in 1848. Texas on the different hand had gained it truly is indipendance from Mexico and finally changed into annexed by united statesa..

John Wayne didn't carry a gun strapped to his leg. Make believe characters he played, in movies set 150 years ago, did.
As for you, you need to check the laws in whatever state you reside in. They differ from state to state and a permit in one state usually is not valid in another.
