My ex has been nothing but nice to me but I have been very stand-offish to him. He tried talking to me for 2 months and getting me to hang out but I just needed space. I think he is returning the treatment back to me (Which i understand). We do not really talk in school. I broke up with him and we had an on/off relationship for 2 years. He has a big game coming up tomorrow afternoon and I want to send him a text tonight saying "Good luck tomorrow" but I dont know, would that be weird? We have texted eachother before as ex's and I have told him congratulations and he has said he saw me in the stands at the game and told me to say hi to my mom etc.. So yeah basically my question is would it be okay to text him good luck?

Sidenote: There's a girl that's interested in him and she follows him around sometimes at school.

Are you sure that the only reason you want to send him an email is to wish him good luck.If you have texted him in the past as ex's, what makes this case a different or weird one? Unless something has happened which you have not mentioned, or you feel the new girl has his attention and can replace you in his heart, there is no reason why you can not wish him good luck in the game.If you still want him back in your life( which I believe you most certainly do), then wait till tomorrow after the game, find out what the deal is between him and the new girl, find out if he still has feelings for you and then act based on the answers you get.

It would be okay. With the stand offish treatment, theres a chance he won't respond tho......

Yes, as a good friend that you are now, yes it will be OK.
Don't over do it, though, let him free. Don't become his babysitter, you won't end up well.....
