From the bible belt! No, but i found out that in some states they look at you like your crazy if you say a prayer before you eat. I was in a restaurant in Oklahoma and these people sat down to eat, the waitress waited until the man said a prayer.
to ask if they needed anything else.
I thought that was standard procedure. But in California on vacation I found out that just wasn't done. They asked me what I was looking for in the plate? Yes ,we do pray before we eat. Same in Greenville Texas.

I have lived in the Bible Belt for all my life and never have seen a cross to say grace to before I eat. I don't pray to a cross any way. I give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for dying for my sins. For taking my sins away when He was buried but most of all for coming out of the grave on the third day for my justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Not that I've noticed, but this one restaurant in Joplin, MO has some really old paintings of some of the Stations of the Cross. They have like 5 of them. I just thought that was a bit odd. It's a Chinese place.

On my end of the bible belt, they lay out their silverware in the shape of the star of bethlehem, then use their napkins and the condiments to create a manger scene... a small procession once around the dining room, and dinner is ready!
