I've heard of lots of people doing this because
1. The Canadian dollar is stronger right now
2. Cars are already cheaper in the states, and with the strong Canadian dollar, this makes them even cheaper for Canadians.

I've also heard that there is no warranty if you do this?

So is it possible to do this with no drawbacks?

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING......................

ITS BEST IF YOU CONTACT YOUR LOCAL (DMV) DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES OFFICE, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL BE GETTING THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.

Call a big franchise dealer in Detroit or Buffalo. They can probably give you more info.
The Canadian DMV can provide info. You may have to make some adjustments to lights or other items.
I would say the warranty would be voided, or at the least you should verify that fact. Also the resale value may be impacted as you selling a foreign car.
