alright so i am talking to this guy i like online.
what are some things i can say to keep the convo going?
like sometimes it just dies. and its like ok whatever. now what?
so what are some things i can ask/say.

also, he is really really shy and quiet unless like your his friend. so im going to have to do most of hte talking/asking questions at first. he knows i like him so yeah. lol any ideas?

ok i know the kid. he goes to my school. but i have no classes with him were in diff. grades. we just did the same sport. but thats over now

Movies, Music he likes, Class subjects,
Ethnic Foods, Fine Art, Museums, Authors
over-coming shyness, what he considers
FUN things to do? Does he like picnics,
hiking, skiiing, the beach?
Ask him what he prefers in a friend?
What is his social style?
(You ask what is Social Style?)
Basically there are about 4 distinct styles:
1) The Driver~ very strong & Type "A"
agressive, out-going & assertive.
Like a Tiger or Lion!
2) The Amiable~ very friendly, very
gregarious & likes many people.
3) The Analytic~ A thinker, mathmatician,
accountant type!
4) The Expressive~ Very social &
extremely talkative. Like a Monkey! :-)
Your friend sounds like an Analytic!

but ONE is usually prevalent MORE!

Yeah I'm extremely shy and I have a serious probem with starting convos... but stick to the simple basic questions... whats his fav. type of questions you can't go wrong wtih them... since he is shy you don't want to act anything to personal because you might scare him away... get to know him by basic questions... and don't freak if theres moments of slience it's going to happen no matter what... just try to talk about as much as you can... really get to know him.. and when you do start making the talks more interseting and asking about some more personal stuff. tell him - i dont want to live anymore life is soo boring without your message can u make it a bit intresting by writing back to me plz i am waiting
or say - hey xxx how are you no message no nothing i miss u so much cant live without friends so whats happening anything new in your life keep me uptodate [xxx stands for name]
orsay - one half misses its other half sooooooooooooo much so i thought its a good idea to say hi to each other so hi i am waiting to hear from my other half

Please stop saying 'like' where it doesnt belong. Expand your vocabulary in the topics you enjoy. Ask him to tell you more by using open ending questions. Questions that have a yes or no for an answer won't get anyone far. Google his real name, if you can get it, and see if he comes up as as a serial killer or noble prize winner!

ask him 'so how was your day?'
specially if you don't see each other during the day. my guy friends always say it's nice to hear, because it shows the girl really cares, without being too pushy like 'what did you do today? did you think of me? tell me everything.'
it gives them the chance to think about it, and only share what they want to. considering he's a shy guy, it would be best.

First and foremost.... BE CAREFUL. You can't know anyone until you meet them face to face and that in itself is extremely dangerous too. Don't do any of that on your own. Involve a close friend... and never meet that person unless your close friend knows about it and comes with you.

ask about his life, friends, family, etc. also ask about what his hobbies are and what he likes to do! maybe he'll start asking you questions back, and you guys could become great friends. just start with small talk. okay?

Just ask him questions about what he likes to do on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons. Or ask him , if you had a chance to ask me anything , what would you ask me?
