I'm looking for some advice on this matter. I wanted to know if there is any possible way to earn an Associates degree in Physical Therapy Asst. on-line and if so what is the Associates degree under....Ex: Health Administration or Health Science? I have been looking and seem very confused...Please Help! THanks in advance! : >

There are no accredited web-based programs in the US that result in the PTA degree. However, there are certificate programs for a physical therapy AIDE/TECHNICIAN which can be completed online...but for a $8-$10 an hour job, I hardly think it's worth it. Penn Foster offers such a certificate, but it is NOT the same job as a physical therapy assistant...it's mostly a clerical job.

A lot of the training for physical therapy isn't something you can do online, it would require actual experience under close supervision. There might be some course involved that could be done online, but not the entire program.
