To explain the whole deal in one word: hypocrites. Have a nice day.

My own ancestors used to scalp enemies and blind them, then send them back to their people as a "warning". I don't condone, condemn, nor attempt to explain their actions, it's simply the way it was. Hypocrisy comes from denying, rationalizing and condemning others for the same attitude, if not crimes, still being practiced.

Some people calling themselves christians did burn witches or those they thought were witches. This was a horrible thing to do and I don't believe God would condone the practice. I am sure it made God mad that people would do this in his name. No one has the right to make such a decision. So when you say "Christians" you are actually talking about a few out of line flawed human beings who called themselves christians many years ago and burned witches or so called witches in the name of God. I am not in this category.

GUESS WHAT, they don't burn witches anymore, but yet the Muslims do still "stone"

The key word here is "used."

We condemn the witch burnings. We condemn Muslim stonings. We condemn all manners of killing.

Just because a group of people used to do things doesn't mean that they continue to do it.

Those two comparisons are completely irrelevant.

The operative word is "used to". That is ancient history. I am a Christian. I never burned anybody at the stake.

Anybody can condemn anybody for anything. You just need to not mind being a hypocrite when you do it.

Muslims kill Christians, Christians kill Muslims... Back in the 1800's lots of God fearing Christians killed Mormons.

The point of the exercise is that religious persecution is a human thing, not a religious thing.

I'm not a Christian so maybe I am slightly more objective. Christians are not currently burring witches and have not done it for a very long time. Muslims continue with there 3rd century justice.

I assure you as a Christian, I have never, ever burned anyone at the stake except a marshmallow. That's rediculous. Thou shalt not kill.

Why do athiests and muslim's stand on the self-righteous podium and beat their chest like Christians are the only hypocrites ?
People of ALL beliefs and unbeliefs, from ALL walks of life have tortured and slaughtered whomever they didnt like.
We are ALL just people, fallible and unreasonable.
