He's really got me very confused. He called me on the phone one day and said i really like you but things aren't working out. I dont understand... I thought things were fine. Im friends with his ex and she said he's never ever broke up with a girl for someone else or for a stupid reason so im confused. Did he maybe just think i didnt like him enough or something? Which doesnt make sense cuz i've tried to make plans with him fr the past couple of days but he was at th doctor's and with his mom. So how can he say i dont wanna have anything to do with him? Maybe it was because whenever he called i was busy and couldnt talk?

There could be many reasons why and it probably has nothing to do with you. Maybe he feels undeserving of you. Maybe it's more he's looking for and he doesn't see it in you. Maybe he is trying to jump ship before you decide to dump him. The only person who can answer that is him but at this stage, he probably doesn't want to hurt your feelings so you may not get the truth out of him.

Guys seem to do stupid crap like that, I was given the same kind of excuse that I was liked but to spare me any hurt he didn't want to see me anymore. He just wanted to spend more time playing his damn video games and to live in a hole. Maybe his ex doesn't really know him that well or maybe he doesn't share his personal life with people he once dated. Honestly, it could be any number of reasons he said things aren't working out. Maybe he thinks the relationship is stale or maybe he really did find someone else or even maybe he isn't ready to be with anyone right now.

Mohammad, go back to your muslim country and tend to your 50 wifes and leave everyone else be. I mean seriously, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say ANYTHING.
Ok, going back to the question... how old is he first of all? Really young guys don't know what they want. And you taking advice from HIS EX is not that great. Never believe or take any advice from supposed friends. Who knows, she might of talked to him and said something stupid. That happened to me before. I'm not saying she did, but you never know. Call him up and tell him you want to have lunch or dinner or something with him and talk about it. And just ask him what his reasons are and why aren't things working out. He might of just found someone new. I'm sorry if that sounded too blunt, but things happen. Again, it's all about age. Let me know how it goes.

When a guy says he still likes you but things aren't working out, it usually means his feelings have changed and he just sees you as a friend now. It's not that he thinks you didn't like him enough, but that he doesn't like you enough to be your boyfriend anymore. It sounds like you're pretty young, so I wouldn't spend too much time trying to figure this out. There are going to be lots of guys in and out of your life, and most of the time they don't make sense.

Maybe you are just not right for him?
That happens and it is hard to tell a girl that if your a decent guy so you just do it to keep the hurt to a minimum. Is iot better to have it strung out and get into it even more?

Respect it and move on! That's what you would want isn't it?

Well, this is probably an extreme, but maybe his mom is sick. Like, bad sick.

Or maybe in his mind, things wern't going as smoothly as you thought they were.

The best thing to do I guess would be to confront him casually. Just be like "Hey, its totally cool that you don't want to be in a relationship anymore, but I mean, it was kind of abrupt, so I was just wondering what made you change your mind."

maybe he has something important going on in his life right now so its difficult for him to have a girlfriend
you deserve an explanation though so the best thing to do is to talk to him so you can work it out even if you dont get back together with him

maybe it was your attitude, sounds like you were always busy when he called (your words),to have a relationship you have to work on it,that means you have to give in sometimes and put your partner ahead of everyone else.i would guess there is more going in then you are telling us.if he broke up with you, just let him go,move on with your life,as hard as it may be..good luck

That was just a lousy attempt at breaking up. He was afraid to come out and say it. I think he still wants to be friends, but not in a relationship. But, I may be wrong, thats just my interpetation. Good Luck.
