do some other Christians out there believe that Godgive certain powers to some people present day?i do.do some of you believe that God gives missionaries the ability to heal sick or something like that?if you think something different then please tell.

Yes, to both of your questions. I've known missionaries who have been to places and done/seen some mighty miracles of God. God will give people these gifts if they will just take them in faith. God nor His Word ever changes. What Jesus,apostles,disciples did we can do too. We just need to step out in faith.

God gives us all specific gifts and talents - not powers. I believe that some people have the gift of healing but you don't necessarily need to be a missionary. I am a short term missionary and don't have the gift of healing. One of my gifts is discernment.

I think God does miracles all the time for different people. But there is no rule like "God gives powers to missionaries" If you mean to ask whether God gives someone the power to heal like his apostles had, then no. Those powers were given to them because they were in direct contact with him and they were needed to demonstrate God's power in first churches. There are no special people with powers now.
If you were to say that there is someone with healing powers from God (like that crook Benny Hinn) then you're taking away from God's power by implying that you need a person to transfer the powers to you somehow. If you need God's help for healing then all you have to do is keep praying to him. That doesn't mean he will heal you but it does mean that wahtevber happens will happen according to his will.

We have spiritual gifts, but God is the one who heals.
1 Corinthians 12 talks of spiritual gifts.

God gives every one of His children a "gift," dear one. Not a "power," however. There's a difference. One's gift could be in parenting or in painting. All of God's children are uniquely different.

im christian and this is what i think that God uses that specific person to show others in the world that he can do these things to heal or whatever by using other christians to set and example for others..

I think God can give some special gifts but not only to christians, he also gives them to other religions too. I also dont think it is a good idea that misionaries have them because then people will convert out of wanting something or of having received something and I personally think God wants us to love him purely without needing to see evidence.
