I do not have any fears, and I do not believe that he does not exist.
Am I sure about his existence?
No, and have no proof except some historical information.
Is that enough? No, it is not.
Does that mean I should believe in God?
No.
Then why do I?
I do not know.
Should I denounce someone whose existence is hidden from me by Him?
No.
Then why believe in someone who hides from us?
I do not know.
You do not make sense.
Well that is precisely the point. Nothing makes sense when it comes to Religion and God. You either believe in him or you do not.

I deny the existence of gods, and have no fear of doing so, because I am justified in rejecting the claim that gods exist as unsubstantiated and somewhat absurd. There is no fear in *not* believing...I leave the fear to the believers. Read the fear in some of the Christian responses.

God does not exist, and fear is not my bag. That`s why I`m an atheist.

I am an atheist who was born and raised as a Christian.

Because of the indoctrination that I suffered during my most impressionable years, (which was akin to brainwashing) that fear you mention was programmed into me.

However, because I can clearly see my upbringing for what it was and because I have used my mind to seek the truth, I have overcome that irrational, inbuilt fear and have no hesitation in pronouncing that there is no evidence for the existence of any gods.

i am far more concerned about the punishment that might be meted out by god's earthly followers than i am concerned about being punished by a being for which there is no good evidence of its existence. but even that is a relatively small concern in the grand scheme of things.

No fear what so ever. God does not exist. It's the Santa belief, I also have no problem stating Santa does not exist. They're both fairytales.
