...until we can get a clear figure on how many immigrants we now have, what our requirements are, and how we plan accommodate those that have arrived?

There should have been a cessation a long time ago, we could absorb a reasonable number say a few 100 thousand. Now it is millions and no law top prevent it running into 10s of millions.

We are humiliated and annoyed, the 2 million Islamic community allowed to take permanent root in the UK has ideology incompatible with UK culture and the multicultural mantra will not change that.

We have taken millions of people from failed countries and they expect us to believe it is good for the UK. It may be good for the immigrants but we now have a country overpopulated and stressed out.

Do not allow pseudo intellectual oversimplyfiers who misuse the word "racist" to tell you that we MUST sacrifice our proud UK culture and community for a cheap workforce, because that is what it is all about

Off course there should! Some times the only way to go is the realistic way and this time to realistically look after our people and the immigrants we already have, We have to stop letting people in. Even relatives of the people who are here. Once the cupboard is bare there is no benefit to anyone. We need a proper assessment and preferably not done by anyone in any way connected to the present government

Possibly, but only for a short time.

Immigration, when its smaller scale, controlled, skilled migration, enriches a country. People who come here with needed skills and enough money to support themselves without needing recourse to public funds are an asset to the country.

Open door policies, large scale "pack em all in , we'll house 'em somewhere, dunno where though" immigration makes things very difficult, especially for the lowest paid workers and poorest families who are already in that country.

I beleve immigration should be on a points system similar to that in Australia. No get in without job. No get job without skill. And that native people should be given all the opportunities possible to get skilled themselves to fill the skills gaps, rather than the Government just bringing in ready-skilled labour from abroad because, lets face it, its cheaper to pay a skilled immigrant £5.50 per hour than invest in training a British lad and then pay him a decent wage isn't it?! To me this sort of immigration is just control of the working classes. "Do what you're told and accept your crappy wage because theres thousands arriving every day who want your job . . ."

That would be the First sensible step to take. These days immigrants arrive with the intention of making as much money as possible and, then Legging it back to their Original Birth place or Country.

Not quite, but a more sensible system should be introduced.
They must have a full health check in an approved hospital prior to being given an entry visa, and they should have a guaranteed job here and have found their own accommodation before entry.
The health check should be undertaken by a doctor known to be reliable by their local British embassy and should not be a relative of the applicant.

Mass immigration is the CAUSE of racism, and the UK government who cannot even look after our personal details do but have the brains to understand that, We want a stop to immigration now and I mean all immigration, Give us a breather.

The amount of foreigners here have ruined this country far more than anything else including war has ever done before. We and are childrens' lives will now be ruined forever because of a weak always trying to be kind government.

I doubt the torys would have done much better, we do need a strong hard line on this problem, and should be sending home most of those who are here let alone letting more in.

Next time when you vote remember this.

Please, when you get it figured out in the UK, could you let us know how to do it here in the US? Our border control is basically non-existent. We live thousands of miles from our southern border, but the second language in this state is Spanish. And this was not traditionally Spanish/Mexican territory. I kinda think that because we practice population control (voluntarily), and tend to have smaller families here, that a vacuum was created that sucks in the foreigners, people who come from countries where overpopulation is the norm, and God knows they have to send their excess people somewhere. This is an English-speaking country, and our common law is English. We're losing that. My daughters are both studying Spanish. They need to be prepared. I looked in to finding a job in Los Angeles a couple months ago, and for the jobs I'm qualified to do here in Minnesota, there is a requirement that one be bilingual in California. I wasted my foreign language education on French. Tant pis.

Absolutely yes. It has to stop.
The government's OWN latest population projections for the UK has an extra 10 million people in the next 25 years.

An 'as it is' over populated Britain cannot sustain the sheer volume.
