so there is this boy, and we have been off and on for about 8 months now. earlier this week he told me how much he loves me and stuff and he wants to be with me, you know all the sweet stuff. yesterday was my birthday and i expected him to at least talk to me. he walked right past me, went to his table and sent me a text message saying happy birthday and i was pissed? did i over exaggerate? than it lead to this huge fight and i told him i dont want to talk to him again and that was it. we havent talked since. i figure if he really loved me he wouldnt be asshamed to tell me happy birthday in person, and also wouldnt let me go that easily.

Wow, that really stinks. If youve been off and on for eight months and he didn't tell you happy birthday but sent you a text after walking by you..thats kinda shisty..my guess is that he really doesnt care about you and it might be hes holding out for physical reasons. I would be mad too so your okay with that and if he really loved you he wouldnt let you walk away like that and should call you and do something to make it up to you. if he doesn't or hasnt and its been days I'd go out with friends and pick up guys all night. It'd do good :)

You were completely within your rights to be angry at him. I don't think it's too much for you to expect respect and a "happy birthday".from someone who is supposed to care about you. I think on/off relationships are just frustrating over all. If you guys break up, it's for a reason, and he dosen't seem so willing to work on it. I think you should move on, if it's so easy for him to do so, it should be for you as well. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I think, you were right to be mad at him!!!! Exactly, the last sentence is right, how can he be ashamed to tell you happy birthday.

i dont think you over reacted but it depends on if the guy is shy about the relationship around other people. and on how old you guys are

thats one downfall of most girls. i do it too. i blow up at things like that. but really guys aren't intentional with what they do. they don't think super deeply the way we girls do it. i think its REALLY attractive to a guy when a girl holds her cool through situations like these.
