I have been a bartender, and have never heard a vodka and diet Coke ever called anything but a vodka and Diet coke. People make up their own names for shots all the time. There are lots of names for the same shot. It depends on your location.

I've never heard it called that before. If you are ordering it at a bar, you are better off just asking for vodka and diet coke. (liquor first in the name)

People just order "vodka diet". If they don't want "well" vodka they'll say "kettle and diet" or "goose and diet" etc. There is no particular name for a "vodka diet" that I've ever heard of.
