This is a dumb question but i m having my sweet 16 in a few weeks. On the outside of the card it says " and invitation" then it says 'for' in the inside. In that blank do I write the persons name i am inviting or do I write my name since the party is for me? Then in one of the blanks it says 'hosted by', is it better to write my name because its hosted by me or do I write "mom and dad"? This is my first party so these questions are pretty weard. Both my prents keep telling me different awnsers so I don't know what to put.
Thanks so much for your help!

I think that after the "For...", you should put (Your name)'s Sweet Sixteen and then "Hosted by..." (Your name).

This would probably be very confusing for you. Most people don't host their own party, so it would be easy to feel weird about putting your name in both places. So, the party is "for" your name, and "hosted" by you if that's the case. If your parents are having the party for your, or if a friend will be helping you out with the decorations or such, put their name in the host position. The only place the name of the person you're inviting goes is on the outside of the envelope. Happy Birthday!

it BITES that you have to host your own 'sweet 16'; i would think that would be something your parents would have been looking forward to for a long time.

the party is for 'you' and hosted by 'you'.
the person who you are inviting (the name) goes on the outside so any/everyone knows who the invitation is for.

Invitation is for the person invited to come to your party as the party is hosted by you.
