Why would you do this? Is there another reason you would feel a need for this? It is very unhealthy and potentially life threatening, depending on what you took in.

Food science may be taught in schools but bacteria science is deficient . We would die if all our bacteria were killed. We would lose some favorite foods without bacteria to help . The FDA has laws controlling the amount of dangerous bacteria in foods but no laws on dangerous virus in foods. Knowing how to manage dangerous bacteria for me came from FDA food certification courses at Purdue. All bad bacterias is killed at 400 degrees in ten minutes. All bad bacteria is killed in food by boiling at X degrees for thirty minutes. Taste is not in this report. That is called cooking. Yogurt uncooked is full of live bacteria. Remember if you get too strong an antibiotic to fight a cold your body is in danger as the blood has some good bacteria in it that is safe and necessary for good health. Ice is good for slowing bacteria growth a bit and we can eat a little bacteria safely. But poisons like arsenic are not from bacteria. Even melted ice cream can be re-pasteurized at boiling temperatures and refrozen. Now as far as cooking for flavor goes that comes after food safety rules. Putrefied foods are seldom tasty . Some foods like vegetable oil allow the wrong bacteria to grow in our intestines. Tree oils and animal oils are safer. Cheese that has growing bacteria at a proper temperature has killed off the bad bacteria and taste so good. Stomach-aches in summer can be corrected with natural acids that are foods.

for someone at a university level you might be book smart but when it came to common sense you got skipped....and im so not trying to be rude but what in the world would posess you to eat rotting food....they have expiration dates, you have your sense of smell, and your eyes all these are there to prevent you from doing the very thing you did. And the fact that you got sick should have told you to stay away from it once is enough..stop it before you hurt yourself more that you have already. Think before you do it.

Smart people can make stupid decisions, too. It doesn't mean you lack common sense. My mother always told me that and I hated her for it and I know for a fact that I'm a lot smarter than her. I feel you need to make some better decisions about what you eat and when you eat it. If you do that, you will feel gradually better.
