Its because of the constant exposure to sewage outlets. It turns their hair blonde, and their bodies buff too.

If you want an answer, I've got it.
Unfortunately surfers are actually just like anyone except they are more cooler so they talk with cool accents, cool sayings and everything else that's cool. I've gotta admit, if you're speak alot to surfers your talk will probably turn into a surfer dude's. I am a surfer and I see fellow surfers like every day so I do talk like other surfers. It's te idea of talking a lot to the surfer people.
Well, I guess my job here's done.
See ya! LOL

Nice... and extremely ignorant question. That's like saying "How come people with Red Hats talk the way they talk?" Or "how come there's so many crappy pop stars from Florida?"
You're going off of what Hollywood has put out there as a stereotype. The whole "yeah bro!", "bummer duuuude", and "totally!"
Surfers are just like any other person. There's no "real surfer" talk. They come from all walks of life. A surfer from New York talks different from a surfer from Michigan, who talks different from a surfer from Orange County, who talks different from a surfer from South Africa, who talks different from a surfer from Bali.
Next time you ask a question, think about who and what you're stereotyping. It's only the posers and wanna-be's that always talk like what you see in movies, thanks to Point Break and Blue Crush.

So stereotypical, but i expect that kinda of ignorance from someone whose probably getting all these idea from a far fetched surf movie made in Hollywood who portrays surfers as buff, blond, blue eyes tan guys, who talks really slow and relaxed because he's probably stoned right?

dude dont stereo type surfers. Not all surfers talk that way, youre thinking of the stereotypes that movies have made with surfers as the hey dude lets go catch some gnarly kahune's out there. please dont stereotype us. there are many groups of surfers, the posers that talk the way your saying, the real surfers that talk normal and the beginners that dont know what to say, so think before you stereotype.

Their surfing lingo has been around for years, it first started in the early 1960s with a lot of Gidget movies.
